The accessory selection is where you select various fixture mounting brackets used with commercial lighting, poles, or other items relating to the project specified equipment. This two letter code is placed in the last section of the part number chart. If the fixture you are ordering does not use an accessory bracket, like a pole top Luminaire, or if you are providing the pole and or bracket, the accessory section of the part number can be left blank. Select the bracket below by placing its accessory code in the part number chart on the last page of this guide.
Brackets
TB – Tenon Bracket
This is a 48” long by 2” diameter galvanized steel street light bracket which attaches directly to the top of a pole equipped with a 2 3/8” tenon top pipe. This bracket upsweeps 24”, placing the fixture out 4’ and up 2’ from the pole top. Tenon brackets are most commonly used with the street light fixture (SLR or SLC). Longer brackets and / or double brackets are available by special order, up to 12’ long.
SP – Side of Pole Bracket
This is a 48” long elliptical tapered aluminum street light bracket which attaches directly to the side of a pole. This bracket will attach to any pole or wall with a round or flat surface. This bracket is most commonly used with the street light fixture (SLR or SLC). Longer brackets are available by special order, up to 12’ long. Use two brackets for double fixture systems. The bracket bolts through the pole, and has cable raceways for inside or outside pole wiring.
TR – Truss Bracket
This high quality brushed and tapered aluminum upsweep truss bracket measures 96” out from the pole and rises 32”. Built to ASHTO standards, this strong bracket bolts through the pole in two places, top and bottom. Two brackets can be used per system to operate two fixtures on the same pole. Bracket can mount to just below the power assembly, or can also be mounted to the top of the pole above the power assembly.
BH – Bull Horn Bracket
This is called a bull horn bracket. It is intended to use when two power flood fixtures are placed at the top of a pole tenon. This 2” galvanized steel bracket holds two fixtures in 180° orientation and swivels about the tenon axis. Fixture spread is 36” and bull horn can be rotated 360°. Use this bracket for power flood fixtures when the power assembly is mounted below the fixtures. Bull horns can rotate and fixtures swivel to point the fixtures in any direction without shading the solar panel below.
SH – Side of Pole Horn Bracket
Many times a power flood or two, or possibly one of the pole top fixtures, is desired to have mounted down on the side of a pole. In this case, a bracket called a side of pole horn bracket is used. This 2” aluminum bracket is shaped like a large hook, which bolts through the pole. This places a vertical pipe, or tenon, 18” out from the pole so that the fixtures still swivel when attached to the pipe top. When the solar power assembly is mounted to the top of the pole, the fixture(s) can mount down below. Two of the SH brackets can be used for double power floods, and the SH brackets can be mounted in 180° orientation, or any orientation, even fixtures above or below each other. This bracket is also popular with the coach (CO) and the gas light (GA) fixtures.
TA – Tenon Adapter
The tenon adapter is ordered if you are using pipe for your pole and you need a smaller tenon pipe on the top to attach a pole top fixture. The tenon adapter slides down inside a 4” pole over the top of a 3” pole, or slides inside a 5” pole. It provides a 2 3/8” pipe vertical from the top of the pole. With this adapter, you can make a strong, yet inexpensive pole which is available nearly everywhere.
ST – Side of Pole Tenon Bracket
Same as above, but used to provide a 2 3/8” tenon pipe horizontal for side of pole or wall mounts. This bracket is popular with a shoe box fixture.
Poles
PP – PolySteel™ Direct Burial Pole
This 8’ 10” pole is rugged and injection molded of recycled polyethylene with a foam interior to the center of a galvanized steel pole. The exterior is durable, resistant to environmental aging and severe weather changes. The PolySteel™ pole has a direct burial 23” tail on it for a quick installation.
SG – Steel Galvanized Pole
The steel galvanized pole is 4” in diameter and 21’ long. It is pre-drilled for the SEPCO™ power bracket and includes the wire for your system, the pole mount bolts, and top cap.
TP – Steel Tapered Pole
The steel tapered pole is constructed of heavy duty 11 gauge galvanized steel that is 6.3” at the base and 3.5” at the tip. It is available with or without a tenon top. The TP includes anti-rotational device on the pole base. Pre-drilled at the top for the solar power bracket and includes wire, pole mount bolts, and top cap.
GT – Heavy Duty Steel Pole
The heavy duty steel galvanized pole is 5.5” in diameter and 30’ long. It is direct burial in a concrete foundation and strong enough to hold our largest unit to hurricane force winds. Pre-drilled at the top for the solar power bracket and includes wire, pole mount bolts, and top cap.
FP – Fiberglass Tapered Pole
Our top selling 24’ tapered, direct burial fiberglass pole comes standard in the SEPCO™ dark bronze color. It is 8” at the base and 4.5” at the top. The FP comes pre-drilled at the top for the solar power bracket and includes wire, pole mount bolts, and top cap.
FH – Concrete Composite Tapered Pole (up to 24’)
SEPCO™’s composite fiberglass / concrete poles are half the weight of a standard concrete pole and comparable to strength. They are dark bronze and direct burial. The pole comes complete with pre-drilled holes at the top for the solar power bracket and includes wire, pole mount bolts, and top cap. They are certified to 150 mph, Event D, and meet all ANSI and AASHTO requirements.
FL – Heavy Duty Fiberglass Tapered Pole
Our longer fiberglass spun pole is similar to the FP, but is longer to provide 24’ mounting height with 5’ embedded depth. The pole comes complete with pre-drilled holes at the top for the solar power bracket and includes wire, pole mount bolts, and top cap. They are certified to 150 mph, Event D, and meet all ANSI and AASHTO requirements.
CP – Concrete Composite Tapered Pole (up to 32’)
Our longer composite fiberglass / concrete pole is similar to the FH, but is longer to provide 25’ mounting height with 7’ embedded depth, or 27’ height with 5’ embedded depth. The pole comes complete with pre-drilled holes at the top for the solar power bracket and includes wire, pole mount bolts, and top cap. They are certified to 150 mph, Event D, and meet all ANSI and AASHTO requirements.
